Deborah Holmes
A long-time resident of Thanet, has witnessed local government neglect and pursued a varied career in design, aviation, and film. She now runs a small restoration business in Kent, advocating for sustainable local enterprises. Disillusioned by Brexit politics, she supports the Liberal Democrats for their values of fairness and decency. Passionate about mentoring and community support, she has helped younger and disadvantaged individuals through her business and past work with a Kent LGBTQ+ group. She is committed to preserving local history, protecting the environment, and opposing overdevelopment unless for social housing. She also seeks to combat political misinformation and supports reopening Manston Airport to improve opportunities for young workers.

A Birchington resident since 2018, has a Maths degree from the University of Leeds and enjoys learning Japanese and playing the harp. With experience in the NHS Radiology Department, she understands the importance of accessible healthcare and advocates for improved local medical facilities. As a carer for her autistic son, she has firsthand experience with the flawed SEND system and is committed to fighting for better educational support for children with special needs. Passionate about protecting the coastline, she seeks to prevent sewage dumping to safeguard the environment, public health, and local tourism.
